Overview

In conjunction with McKeeCo Engineering this is a chalk line Docker that has the ability to take a vast variety of cross section on the fly by detecting the height and width then adjusting speed and saw height as required. Dock to length option is also available by detecting numerous chalk makes.

The first design was place in Britton Timbers in Smithton, Tasmania installed in 2007, and has surpassed the original design specification for timber throughput.

There are currently only two of these in use the second is at McKay Timbers in Bridgewater Tasmania installed in 2009.

Control

This system is design to run in a fully automatic mode only. Docker has a built in start up sequence but motors can be individually started for maintenance via the operator interface. The Infeed and outfeed motors are controlled by a console next to the operator.
